looking to my T30 plan
Between front and mast beam :
1220 x (1130 x 2) = 1220 x 2260 more the lashing
Optimist is

LOA: 2300 mm Beam Length: 1122 mm

Answer : yes, in front of the mast, but will use most of the front space.
